Visiting and Caregroup

Every week, we are visiting older people. Last week, Silke went to Ed and Ruth.

Special Job at the Bookstore

Today, I had a special job atthe bookstore. There was a groundhog last few months, made some troube, digging under the house. The trap was to small for him. So it was time for my first hunting experience... and I got it! After the shot, it lived 10 seconds longer - and used the time to hide under the bookstore. The next 2 hours my job was to find it and to dig...
Happy end - for me...

Finn loves biking, here on the way to the post office - buy some stamps for german mail.

On the other side, we have some yellow jackets protecting our mailbox, they have their nest right under the box.

Nebenan haben wir dann noch ein paar Wespen, die ihr Nest unter unseren Briefkasten gebaut haben und die Post bewachen.

First cool day since June - Erster kühler Tag seit Juni

Today is the first day, were it is during the day inside warmer than outside. Still 25° Celsius.
When you look at our blog, you must think "They have vacation all the time!" Yiep, it´s just, when we work, we are so busy, we have no time for pictures...

Heute ist der erste Tag, an dem es draußen kühler ist als drinnen, trotzdem noch 25° Celsius.

Baby Turtles

Yesterday, we were walking outside and it was raining cats and dogs.

Suddenly, something was coming out from the ground. Just in that second,

some turtles hatched, a dozen. It was pretty need to see that. We all were so excited!

Gestern waren wir spazieren. Es hat in Stroemen geregnet. Ploetzlich regte sich etwas am Boden. Just in diesem Moment schlupften 12 Schildkroeten aus dem Boden. Wir hatten

noch nie so was gesehen. Ich sag' euch, dass war eine ziemlich coole Sache.
