Freimersheim in Rheinland-Pfalz

Last weekend I visited a church in Freimersheim from a friend who is doing his civil service at DMG right now. I could present our futur work, had a youth group and a Sunday service.
Saturday I had the chance to help out at a grape harvest, a premiere for me. Now I have a better understanding about John 15.

Letztes Wochenende habe ich eine Gemeinde in Freimersheim besucht. Daniel, der bei der DMG gerade seinen Zivildienst macht, kommt aus dieser Gemeinde. Ich konnte unsere zukünftige Arbeit bei den Indianern vorstellen, hatte eine Jugendstunde und den Gottesdienst am Sonntag.
Samstag konnte ich bei der Traubenernte mithelfen, Premiere für mich. Nun ist Johannes 15 noch anschaulicher für mich.

Das Missionsfest ist vorbei. Wir hatten viele gute Begegnungen, eine gelungene Vorstellung der neuen Missionare auf der Bühne und - entgegen der Prognose- strahlenden Sonnenschein. So war das Wetter auch die letzten Tage, sehr schön. Finn geht es schon wesentlich besser.
Montag besuchte uns Reinhold mit dem Motorrad aus Frankfurt/Oder. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Begegnung und Austausch und entließen ihn schon wieder am nächsten Tag.

The Mission feast is over. We met a lot of people, the introuduction from the new missionaries on stage went well and the weather was great - against the forecast. So was the weather the last days as well. Finn is doing much better. Thanx for asking.
Reinhold visited us on Monday. He came with a motorcycle from Frankfurt/Oder. We had a blessed time and he went off the next day.

Herbstmissionsfest und Pfeiffersches Drüsenfieber - Autumn Mission Feast and Mononucleosis

Nächsten Sonntag ist hier auf dem Buchenauerhof das Herbstmissionsfest. Ihr seid alle herzlich dazu eingeladen. Hier sind wir beim Kinderprogramm aktiv, am Nachmittag stellen wir uns als Missionare vor. Die Woche davor sind wir am Vormittag im praktischen Bereich tätig, soll heißen, Halle saubermachen, Bühne richten, Stühle stellen, putzen etc.

Finn fiebert seid fast zwei Wochen rum und gestern kam dann die Diagonose "Pfeiffersches Drüsenfieber". Die Milz ist doppelt so groß, Leber auch größer. Kindergarten ist gestrichen für die nächsten zwei Wochen. Toben und rumtollen auch gestrichen - Gefahr von Milzriss :-(
Gerade liegt Finn im Bett und pennt (15 Uhr).

Next Sunday we have "Autumn Misson Feast". We are involved in the kids program. The week before we are working practically, cleaning the hall, putting the chairs together and so on...

Finn was fevering almost the last two weeks and yesterday the doctor diagnosted Mononucleosis. The spleen has doubled, also the liver is bigger. Kindergarden ist canceled for two weeks. Blustering is forbidden - the spleen could burst :-(

Vacation - Urlaub

The last days, we had some vacation at the Chiemsee. That´s in Bavaria near the Alpes. We had a great time. A Christian Couple was hosting us in a little, tiny house.

Die letzten Tage hatten wir Urlaub am Chiemsee. Wir hatten eine sehr erholsame Zeit. Über idea hatten wir ein klitzekleines Ferienhaus in Aschau ausfindig gemacht mit sehr netter Wirtsfamilie.

How many marmots can you count? Finn made some noise like they are and they came to look at him from the mountain. I´m still not sure if he was really talking with them. Maybe Finn sounded more like an eagle.
